The Air Jordan 5 ��Shattered Backboard�� or ��Orange Blaze�� updates Michael Jordan��s fifth signature shoe in a colorway first seen on the Air Jordan 1 back in 2015. The ��Shattered Backboard�� theme is inspired by team uniforms worn by Jordan during an oversea exhibition game in Italy in 1985 when he famously shattered a glass backboard following a powerful dunk. The Jordan 5��s version of the ��Shattered Backboard�� makes use of the same white, black, and orange color scheme as every ��Shattered Backboard�� Air Jordan before it, albeit in a unique way. Sail leather appears on the upper while the collar, quarter panel, and lower tongue are constructed in a fine mesh material that appears on the Jordan 5 for the first time on this colorway. The top of the tongue, which displays an Orange Blaze Jumpman, is treated to the same reflective silver finish as the Jordan 5��s original construction. A black Jumpman is stitched onto the heel. Silver shark tooth detailing is found on the orange painted midsole. Release date: October 2, 2021
